Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
This policy explains how Boussole IA, operated by Cappasoft, collects, uses and protects your personal information. It is written in line with Quebec's Law 25 (an Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information).
1. Person responsible for protecting personal information
In accordance with Law 25, the person responsible for protecting personal information is Eric Cappannelli (Cappasoft). For any question or request, write to eric@cappasoft.com.
2. Information we collect
- Assessment answers: your answers to the AI maturity quiz and questionnaire, and the computed score.
- Contact details: name, email address and organization name, when you choose to provide them.
- Authentication data: if you sign in through a third-party provider (Google or another OAuth service), the basic profile information (name, email, identifier) you authorize. We never access your password.
- Technical data: session information stored locally in your browser (to resume an in-progress assessment) and minimal usage data.
3. Purposes of processing
We use your information only to:
- compute and present your AI maturity assessment;
- send you your results and, with your consent, follow-up content;
- authenticate you and secure access to your account;
- improve the product using aggregated, anonymized data.
4. Consent
We collect your information with your consent, freely given when you provide it. You may withdraw it at any time (see “Your rights”).
5. Data hosting and location
Your data is hosted on Supabase infrastructure, in data centers located in Canada (Central region). Authentication via a third-party provider may involve processing by that provider under its own policy.
6. Sharing with third parties
We never sell your information. We share it only with processors needed to operate the service (hosting, authentication, email delivery), and only to the extent required.
7. Retention
We keep your information for as long as necessary for the purposes above, then destroy or anonymize it. You may request deletion at any time.
8. Your rights
In accordance with Law 25, you have the right to:
- access the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent and request its deletion;
- obtain a copy of your information in a structured technological format (portability).
To exercise these rights, write to eric@cappasoft.com. If our response does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI).
9. Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage to remember the state of your assessment. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page. For significant changes, we will notify you by a reasonable means.
